Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.

Alix Sloan of Sloan Fine Art in NYC has curated an amazing collection of art for the “Awakened” group exhibition and fundraiser at SoHo gallery AFA. The exhibition is inspired by the animal companions that brighten our lives, and a portion of the proceeds from every sale will be donated to Adopt-A-Pet.com in support of their mission to help find loving homes for homeless pets.
“Awakened” runs through September 29. I wish I could make it to see these pieces in person. If you live in New York, try to stop by. You can view all the pieces in the exhibit on the Sloan Fine Art website.
